Sewing Machine Repairs
We are Dunedin's largest repairers of domestic Sewing Machines and Overlockers.
For a small fee we can test and tag machines to ensure electrical safety.
For out of town customers, we can assist with return couriers.
For our local customers, we can book a bicycle courier to collect and return your machine for a small fee.
We have one of the largest ranges of parts in the South Island and if we don't have what your machine needs, we can generally get it for you.
Our current rates for all workshop work are:
Bench Fee = $45 (covers administration, general consumables and the first 15 minutes of technician work)
Above this, our hourly rate is $96 per hour and is charged in 15 minute intervals.
A regular service will generally cost between $160 and $220, including parts. If our technicians expect the cost will exceed $250 (over the bench fee) we will endeavour to contact you in advance of proceeding.
If you bring in 2 or more machines at the same time, you only pay the bench fee once, and this covers 15 minutes on one of your machines.
Our current timeframe for servicing is 2-3 weeks. However, if you book your machine in you will be placed in the queue the day you book. Please phone us on (03) 455-3979 to book-in.
Urgent repairs are available. Because these will require a technician to work outside of regular hours to compensate for the short turn-around there will be an urgent fee charged on top of the fees detailed above.
